OVERVIEW
In assisting the Artistic Producer, Director of Production, Associate Director of Production, and Company Manager, this apprenticeship provides hands-on experience in contracting artists, maintaining schedules, making artists feel welcome in our theater, and producing new works along with the work that goes on our stage. The Apprentice will experience the inner workings of all areas of production and will learn the ins and outs of the various theatrical union contracts. The supervisor for this Apprenticeship is Aaron Alonso, Assistant Director of Production.
PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
At the end of this Apprenticeship, participants will:
- Have developed enhanced management skills across a variety of theatrical disciplines
- Participated in production meetings, technical rehearsals, and previews with professional directors and designers from across the country
- Utilize skills learned over the course of the season by being the primary producer for Youth Engagement performance programs
- Have built a network of theatrical professionals in Seattle and nationally
- Have interacted with a wide variety of theatrical unions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to see the bigger picture
- Candidates must have experience working in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong affinity (or quick study) for organizational technology, such as MS Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, etc.
- Commitment to racial equity and social justice practices, and a desire to contribute to a more equitable and inclusive work environment
