Interior Design Intern
Mackenzie is hiring summer interns for the Summer of 2024 in our Interior Design Department. Positions are available in both our Portland and Seattle offices.
Every summer, Mackenzie brings in interns, as part of the design team and exposes them to actual day-to-day projects. Students are integrated into the design process and work on a variety of project types and sizes. They gain real-world experience. Because Mackenzie is a multi-discipline firm, the intern will also gain experience working with the different disciplines such as architects, structural engineers, land use planners, landscape architecture and civil engineers. Typical work experience for an intern includes attending project site visits and client meetings, preparing finish presentations, helping with our resource library, assist with space plans and construction documentation, engaging with local reps and attending Mackenzie office events. The position requires the ability to work concurrently on multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
The internship is a paid position, and the schedule is flexible with availability for up to 40 hours per week. At Mackenzie, we work a hybrid model that combines both work-from-home and in-office work schedules.
