The North American Bat Monitoring Program (NABat) is a multi-national, multi-agency coordinated bat monitoring program across North America.  This collaborative bat monitoring program is made up of an extensive community of partners across the continent who use standardized protocols to gather data that allow us to assess population status and trends, inform responses to stressors, and sustain viable populations.
 
There are many years of historical data, such as capture efforts, colony counts, emergence counts, mobile transects, or stationary acoustic monitoring, that have not yet been incorporated into the NABat database.  The primary duties of this internship will be to enter and upload this legacy data to the NABat Partner Portal.  The focus of this internship will be legacy data from Oklahoma, though some data from other states in the southwest region (AZ, NM, TX, OK) may also be included.
 
There will also be opportunities to assist with data collection through acoustic monitoring and colony counts during this internship.
 
This internship will begin at a part-time level during the spring semester and move to a full-time level.

Living allowance: $600 per week
One-time relocation travel allowance: $1,100.00
Housing provided.
This is NOT an AmeriCorps eligible position.
