Intern - Global Sustainability

Micron’s corporate sustainability team leads sustainability strategy and the integration of environmental and social issues into Micron’s functions and culture, as well as engagement with internal and external stakeholders on sustainability issues. As an intern working with the team, you will play an important role in several projects to enhance Micron’s sustainability efforts, while gaining exposure to a range of team members and functions that contribute to Micron’s sustainability performance. Based on team needs and your expertise and interests, you may contribute to work in:

• Analyzing evolving customer, investor, and government sustainability expectations
• Responding to requests for information about corporate sustainability issues
• Conducting sustainability risk and impact assessments
• Assessing opportunities in circular electronics
• Supporting internal or industry collaborations to advance sustainability

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a graduate degree in business, sustainability, engineering, human rights or an environmental discipline
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective time management skills and ability to balance workload across 3+ concurrent projects
• Ability to work both independently and with distributed teams
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Ability to work on-site with team members in San Jose, CA Mondays-Thursdays during the summer.
