Project Information Management Internship or Co-Op (Summer 2025)

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Information Management Intern to join our team. The intern will support various departments by creating and managing project sites, developing automation workflows, and enhancing communication processes using SharePoint, Power App and Power Automate. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world projects, focusing on optimizing information management and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop automation workflows to help with our corporate intranet and project sites
  • Automate existing business processes with applications within our corporate framework
  • Collaborate with various internal customers to identify & implement solutions for their departments and projects.
  • Software knowledge includes but not limited to: Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Development, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power App, as well as the Office Suites.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a BS in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and some coding experience.
  • A strong interest in project management and information management systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with an acute attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Eagerness to learn rudimentary coding and adapt to new project workflows and technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for writing and creating procedural documentation.
  • Versatility and openness to acquiring tangential skills outside of one's degree field, embracing a broad learning curve.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk products a bonus (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Recap, Autodesk Construction Cloud)

Potential Experiences:

  • Gain an understanding of the business and engineering work flow in a consulting firm
  • Will play a crucial role in enhancing our internal communication systems and workflows through development of corporate projects and initiatives.
  • Will gain knowledge in project management, a foundational knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, rudimentary coding and programming language such as JSON and Python.

This is a competitively compensated Intern or Co-op position. Please note in your cover letter if you are interested to co-op for a particular semester. Any school requirements for feedback or reporting to be provided by the Nexus manager should also be noted in the cover letter.
