Engineering Internship/Co-Op (Fall 2025)
Consulting Engineers Group (CEG) is a power systems engineering firm located in Lakeville, MN. CEG works nationwide on wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects, including everything from solar gardens in Minnesota to large solar substations in South Carolina to wind farms in Montana, Oregon, and Kansas.
Position Benefits & Location:
The base pay for this position is: $24 per hour
MN sick time is included in this position.
This position is onsite at our office in Lakeville, MN. Our office address is 21875 Grenada Ave, Lakeville MN 55044.
Job posting is for Fall 2025. Exact start and end dates are flexible.
Qualifications:
- Student of an engineering degree (any discipline), physics, and/or mathematics
- At least 2 years completed towards a bachelor’s degree. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Interest in the transition to a fully renewable energy grid and the technologies involved to make this happen.
Learning Opportunities:

Simulation and Modeling:
- Utilize simulation tools to model power system behavior and power system performance in real world scenarios.
System Design and Integration:
- Assist project engineers with various aspects of site design and learn about different aspects of power systems.
- Support project management by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
Performance Analysis:
- Conduct performance assessments of battery storage systems, focusing on how these systems will perform in different locations.
- Devise energy management strategies to balance supply and demand.
Technical Documentation:
- Create technical documentation for project teams, including design standards, performance reports, and guidelines for maintenance and troubleshooting.
