eCommerce Intern

PetIQ is seeking a driven and detail-oriented eCommerce Intern to join our team for a 12-week summer internship at our Eagle, ID headquarters. This intern will support key initiatives aimed at driving growth and improving performance across the eCommerce Sales Channel.

This is a hands-on opportunity to dive into real-world data, contribute to strategic analysis, and present insights that can directly impact our business.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

The eCommerce Intern will support PetIQ’s eCommerce business by leading a strategic growth and optimization project. This individual will analyze channel performance, evaluate competitive positioning, and develop actionable insights to improve discoverability, conversion, and overall eCommerce effectiveness.

Over the 12-week internship, the intern will:

  • Gain hands-on experience working with eCommerce data and digital shelf analytics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations
  • Build and present strategic recommendations to eCommerce leadership

 

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Analyze eCommerce sales performance across key PetIQ brands
  • Conduct keyword research and SEO audits on product listings
  • Evaluate product detail pages (titles, bullets, descriptions, images, A+ content)
  • Benchmark competitor pricing, promotional strategies, and content
  • Recommend optimizations to improve visibility and conversion
  • Summarize insights into reports and final presentations to leadership
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions
  • Document all findings and recommendations in an organized and shareable format

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and research skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (e.g., data cleaning, lookups, pivot tables)
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly through written reports and presentations
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Interest in eCommerce, digital marketing, or consumer goods

     

 

Education Requirements:

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program with expected graduation in 2025 or 2026

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central platforms
  • Experience using SEO tools such as Helium 10
  • Prior coursework or internship experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or retail analytics
  • Passion for pet health and the pet care industry
