Front-End Engineer Intern – Summer 2025
About Us:
Arctex is a software development company specializing in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products. We are building CollegeAppAssist.com, a platform and Chrome extension that helps high school students navigate and autofill college and scholarship applications more efficiently.

About the Role:
We are seeking Front-End Engineer Interns for Summer 2025 to work on exciting real-world features that impact thousands of students. You’ll collaborate across design and engineering to enhance the user experience of our Chrome extension and web app.

Frontend Tech Stack: React, JavaScript, Tailwind, Chrome Extension API, Git, GitHub

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and maintain user-facing features for our Chrome extension and web platform
  • Translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional, responsive components
  • Optimize front-end performance and accessibility
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs
  • Contribute to design discussions and sprint planning
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code using modern web practices

Who You Are:

  • Experience with React, JavaScript, and styling frameworks (e.g., Tailwind or CSS Modules)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git & GitHub)
  • Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously (20–30 hours/week)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excited to learn, iterate quickly, and work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Bonus: Experience with Chrome Extensions or basic design systems
