Sales and Marketing Representative

Position Overview:

John Edwards Inc., a leading business development company in the Western Illinois area, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales and Marketing Representative to join our dynamic team. This position will be responsible for driving sales in both retail and event environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer engagement, marketing, and sales, with the ability to execute campaigns and create memorable experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Identify and engage with new and existing customers in retail and event settings to drive sales.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by promoting products and services.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and vendors to encourage repeat business.
  • Provide product knowledge and demonstrations to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions.

Marketing & Promotions:

  • Develop and execute effective marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase brand awareness and sales.
  • Coordinate and participate in local events, trade shows, and other marketing initiatives to promote the company's products.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing materials, both digital and physical, to support sales efforts.

Customer Service & Support:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction at all touchpoints.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of product offerings to deliver personalized recommendations.

Event Coordination:

  • Assist in organizing and managing marketing events, including setting up, promoting, and engaging with attendees.
  • Represent the company at local events, conventions, and other outreach opportunities.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track sales performance and report on key metrics such as sales targets, event performance, and customer feedback.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving sales strategies and customer engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, or retail, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for marketing and event coordination.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events and promotions.
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a strong customer-centric focus.
