Litigation Manager
**This position offers the ability to work remotely three days per week with a Flexible/Hybrid work schedule. **
The Tax Compliance Bureau (TCB) within the Michigan Department of Treasury is seeking to recruit an innovative and dynamic Departmental Manager for the Operations Division, Technical Issues Resolution area. The Technical Issues Resolution area assists the Tax Compliance Bureau with interpretation and application of statutory changes, litigation, and technical tax support.
This position is a first line manager and will function as the Litigation Manager in a complex work area to promote compliance with Michigan taxes administered by the Department of Treasury. This position will direct the work of professional staff auditors and analysts. Conducts research and serves as the expert/liaison to the Attorney General’s Office in the preparation of documents necessary to litigate audit determinations related to complex tax issues and sophisticated business environments. Promotes an environment conducive to high performance, collaboration and teamwork in the Bureau.

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
