About Arizona Conservation Corps

Arizona Conservation Corps (AZCC) operates programs across Arizona engaging individuals and strengthening communities through service and conservation. AZCC is focused on connecting youth, young adults and recent era military veterans with conservation service work projects on public lands. Our programs promote personal growth, experiential learning and an ethic of natural resource stewardship while incorporating the guiding principles of community, dedication, challenge, integrity and FUN!

Crew Leader

September 2017 - September 2019 Pinetop-Lakeside, AZ
“The diversity of hands on experiences in the conservation field. We worked with many government agencies and could shadow other positions, ask questions, and determine what jobs and skills may be desirable. There was also a lot of travel involved with different work sites, one time even to Florida for disaster relief. If you are put with a good crew and lead by example with integrity, you will be surprised at what can be accomplished and the bond that can be had on the crew.”

Veterans fire crew member

July 2019 - December 2019 Flagstaff, AZ
“I really loved being outdoors, in forests, traveling all over the state, camping out, commoraderie, and of course cuttin down trees with a 42" chainsaw!”
