my coworkers were nice. I like how it was fast paced and not boring. I also like the smell of coffee & tea.
What I wish was different
less snobby customers
Advice
I think a flexible and nice manager is very important to having a good time at work. I worked at this exact establishment 3 years ago and had an awful time since my manager was rude & inconsiderate of my personal life.

What I liked
My favorite part of my job was making drinks and meeting new people. I love to practice latte art at come up with new drink creations. Some of my coworkers became my best friends and I met a lot of new customers who I made connections with.
What I wish was different
For the most, I loved my experience at work and I do not wish anything had been different. I even miss it while I’m here at school.
Advice
I would advise everyone to keep trying and not give up. The job can be difficult at times and it can feel overwhelming. If you stay calm and take your time practicing, everything will get better.

What I liked
There was always something to do since it was usually pretty busy, the coworkers were super friendly and kind, and management for the most part was laid-back.
What I wish was different
I continuously got scheduled for more hours outside of my availability (20-25 hrs/week) which became very tiring and draining-- I wish that my time had been respected and appreciated a little bit more since I usually would have to take on the most grueling parts of the job over and over again.
Advice
Don't let employers take advantage of your time just because they're above you in the food chain-- and learn how to say NO!

What I liked
I liked most of the customers and being surrounded by coffee and tea and making it myself.
What I wish was different
I wish I had a different manager and people I worked with since they played favorites and did not know how to communicate their emotions and problems with other people properly.
Advice
Work with people who can be emotionally intelligent and separate work and their outside life and go to work just to work.
